Tried them for a year since a friend worked there. Very outdated company that still relies heavily on sending everything through the mail. And I was on a paperless billing system. Mobile app continuously routes you to the Auto Club division which made paying your premium a hassle. Ended up having to call in everytime. In addition to all of that, once you pay the extra auto club fee they become very expensive. Plans vary by region but I switched to Progressive for much less.
So I used my basic aaa card to get my car towed on the ct line to ri.the tow driver said it would cost $100.so I called aaa to switch to my son's gold card.after 4 failed conversations mostly being tranfered the driver reached his destination in ri.he said if aaa changed the card before I arrived I could of saved $100.aaa sucks as they had no idea how to cancel my card and put my son's on instead

If it were possible to minus stars I’d give AAA negative 5 ( Do Not do business with these dirt bags ) especially their so called RV Plus
Left us stranded on the side of the 10 fwy near Palm Springs 8 hours before I took matters into my own hands and got it out of there should not be allowed to sell this service
I recently hit debris on I95. My car had to be towed. Mal's Auto in Old Saybrook, CT. came within 15 minutes. The driver, Justin, was efficient, courteous and professional. A WONDERFUL JOB!
Absolutely horrible experience!!! My 1955 dodge totally gave out on me and I called to get it towed. They said towing would be there in an hour. This is in Arizona in a vintage car with no AC and it’s 117 outside! After waiting 3 hours they told me that I was looking at a 6 hour wait time!! I told them that was unacceptable and they gave me another towing number to call that would be faster. Just to find out that the other towing place was in Mesa and wouldn’t tow my car in Phoenix. I waited for AAA for 5 FREAKIN HOURS!!!! In that heat with no AC!!! This is absolutely absurd!!!! AAA do better….
AWFUL! Thank God I'm home & not by roadside. I called and hung on while they sent text. While I was waiting, they hung up on me. I clicked link on text and every time I tried to enter information, it kicked me off and started over. I tried MANY times. So my flat tire is in driveway and I am looking for a different roadside assistance service. If I were stuck on the highway, I don't know what I'd do.
Just spent 3 hours in the blazing heat waiting for a tow that was promised in 20 minutes and then another 30 minutes and then another 20 minutes etc. until I had waited 3 hours during the hottest part of the day and ended up with a formidable headache. I have been a member since 1997 and rarely ever needed their service but felt it was worth having for peace of mind. After all these years of trusting they would have my back it is disappointing to say that I was dead wrong for trusting in AAA.
Aaa left me stranded in another city at night in dark and never showed up. When called for reimbursement for calling another locksmith to come so I could get home they have refused to reimburse me after being a member for 18yrs. Poor customer service on phone just kept putting me on hold and never coming back. Prior to this incident no problems, will have to find a different service.
Sam was great! When he called i wasn't interested at all I had already received an online quote from AAA and was not impressed.I had also recieved a bunch or
calls from bottom feeders trying to sell me a policy. I was over it and didn't want to hear another pitch ever again. However Sam was different and had a real sincere intelligent vibe about him and was very polite. So I told him my situation that I wasn't happy with what I was paying and the quality of the service I was getting. Not once did he interupt me. He patiently listened to everything I had to say.. When I was completely done basically dumping all my frustrations and feelings of resentment in general towords the entire insurance industry all over the poor guy. He then told he was really sorry about all I had been through and asked If I would give him a few minutes of my time while he tried to figure out a way to help me get my payment a little closer to my budget and to tell me about this company he works for. he then told me that there are still some good companies out there that care about their customers and that AAA was one of them. To make a long story short Samworked hard for me and I feel like I made a friend that day and he was so organized and efficient and did everything he told me he was going to do when he told he was going to do it. I am a very busy man and have to budget my time carefully so his precise timing meant I didn't waste a single moment of my day sitting around stagnating because of people who lag. I could not be happier with Sam and A.A.A He
made my 23 year old son a Cal State Fullerton straight A student and my day saving us an unbelievable amount of money. Thank you so much for caring and taking the time make sure everything went well. I can honestly say my son and I could not be happier with our experience Thanks - Eddie Lee
For the past 3 weeks while waiting on my alternator to come in the mail we have had to call almost everyday multiple times a day to come out and help start our car. Not one have I felt as if it was a bother that they have to come out again.
I have been a member of AAA for over 20 years and my whole family are insured by them. I have never had an issue with them until recently, I was involved in a car accident ( some jerk ran a red light) I was on hold at the scene of my accident for 40 minutes bawling my eyes out and freaking out. The police had to call a tow truck driver for me. I filed a claim and was assigned “Shay” as my adjuster. I called first thing Monday to touch base with her and to change the location of the repair shop. My first impression of her answering my call was that she seemed bored and annoyed by my phone call. She sounded annoyed by my questions, then she stopped responding to my phone calls. There was an issue with the repair shop that I chose and instead of trying to deal with them, I had to personally call the auto shop and clear up the confusion, then Shay tried telling me that the auto shop was not AAA approved even though I’ve used them in the past. This whole ordeal has been stressful and this whole back and forth making me deal with the auto shop in ridiculous. I pay them monthly for this. Then, she tried blaming the auto shop for “dropping the ball” when in fact it was her unprofessionalism that got everything all distorted and confused. I tried calling her manager Gina, she was no help either! She didn’t answer any of the calls I made to her nor respond to any voicemails I left. This is the “wonderful service” you receive by using AAA. I don’t recommend them ever! I will be changing my insurance company and as will my family after this whole mess is sorted out. They have really gone downhill, customers don’t matter anymore.
Aaa universe is a seller for Amazon, and I placed an order for a Cannon Camera that arrived inoperable. I contacted AAA Universe after talking to Amazon. I was told to ship it back to AAAA Universe, and I did so. I mailed it through UPS. I then asked for a refund from Amazon, but was told I would have to get it from AAAA Universe. I called AAAA and asked for the $650.00 refund. I got an E-Mail from AAAA with a photo of an empty box, and they claim it was empty. It had a UPS weight of 7 lbs. I don’t think UPS would deliver an empty box. Basically they are accusing me or UPS of keeping the camera. Of course that was a bunch of crap from this crappy company. Amazon refunded my $68.00 tax that was charged, but no assistance from them on collecting the remaining $650.00. I don’t see how such of a company like AAAA Universe can stay in business. They are flirting with a felony that could possibly get them deported. I wonder if INS know about them and their business practice. The U.S. does not need immigrants like them.
My wife and I had a headache of a time deal with AAA roadside assistance, their are a lot of incompetent workers in this department who don't know areas and great with excuses, sub tow drivers are the worst. I've had it with this company making matters worse than they are, will not be renewing plan
Excellent service, Herman was on time, fast and was it very respectful and not rude like some of my past experiences
